Taylors Falls, MI – Minnesota’s Wild Mountain ski area, northeast of the Twin Cities, will host its annual Open House & Equipment Swap this weekend.
Swap hours are from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day, Saturday and Sunday. Those wishing to sell equipment may drop it off each day from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. now through Thursday, 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. before the swap on Saturday. There’s a $5 per person fee to sell items, and a 15% commission on sales benefits the Wild Mountain Ski Patrol.
In addition to the opportunity to buy and sell gently used ski and snowboard equipment at great prices, Wild Mountain will be offering a final chance to purchase a discounted season pass, and will hold sign-ups for its youth programs. Half-price admission to Wild Mountain’s Alpine Slides, Go-Karts and FreeFall XP bag jump will be available. Or, demo a slide down a 200-foot long chute for snow tubing without the snow. Made from a special synthetic material, this water-less system is just like snow tubing, minus the cold and snowsuit.
