Wrightwood, CA – Two more ski areas in Southern California are teaming up. Mountain High in Wrightwood, and Snow Valley in Running Springs are offering pass holders free skiing this winter at the other’s resort, good for three visits per season.
“We’re proud to offer this benefit to our guests,” said Mountain High Chief Marketing Officer John McColly. “There isn’t a better season pass value anywhere in the country.”
Mountain High is located in the San Gabriel Mountains, 20 minutes off I-15 and a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles and Orange County. Visitors have three separate mountains to choose from including Mountain High’s West Resort, East Resort and North Resort. Snow Valley, also located just outside the Los Angeles area, is one of the largest resorts in the San Bernardino National Forest with 12 lifts, 31 trails and 240 skiable acres.
Both Snow Valley and Mountain High are currently offering a pre-season pass sale that offers full-access season passes starting at $299.
“We’re excited about offering even more value to our pass holders,” said Kevin Somes, Snow Valley vice president and general manager. “With forecasts calling for an El Niño season, guests will be able to enjoy the benefits of two convenient resorts at an incredible value.”
The offer of three free days of access is available to 2015-16 anytime pass holders of either Mountain High or Snow Valley who are in good standing with their home mountain. Holiday blackout dates apply.
The partnership between the two ski areas is just the latest such effort to expand value for season passholders, competing with expanding multi-resort products such as the Vail Resorts Epic Pass and the new M.A.X. Pass, or benefit programs like the Powder Alliance, to which Mountain High already belongs, and The Mountain Collective. In the southern California market shared by Mountain High and Snow Valley, Mammoth Resorts has combined benefits at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit with skiing at their more northerly big brothers, Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain, in the Cali4nia Pass.
