Newry, ME – You really have to tip your hat to Sunday River’s snowmakers. With only a few days of snowmaking weather, and despite initial plans to only offer the top half of the T2 run, today’s opening day featured a trail count of five and top-to-bottom skiing and riding.
Now, however, they’re looking for another cold spell. Sunday River is officially on their weekends-only early season schedule, and they’ll assess operations for this weekend once they determine what effect this week’s warm weather will have on the snowpack.
