Aspen, CO – The 2015 Audi FIS Ski World Cup at the Nature Valley Aspen Winternational Volunteer Rally will take place from 5 p.m.–7 p.m. this Tuesday at the Limelight Hotel in Aspen.
The Volunteer Rally serves as a place for members of the community to gather and learn about the Women’s World Cup races, ask questions, as well as sign-up for various on-and-off hill volunteer roles. Light food and drinks will be provided.
“As a World Cup volunteer, community members play a key role in continuing our town’s storied ski racing heritage. This event brings world-class racers from all over the globe and our collective role is to put on the best possible event for these athletes and our international audience,” says John Rigney, Vice President of Sales and Events for Aspen Skiing Company.
To thank all participating volunteers, at the end of each race day, event organizers will host a special social gathering with complimentary beverages. In addition, all volunteers who work more than 12 hours will receive a custom Helly Hansen Winternational jacket and will be invited to a volunteer thank you party that will include dinner and drinks following the races.
Volunteers who help with the Women’s World Cup races will also have first priority for volunteer roles at the 2017 World Cup Finals.
In Aspen, ski racing runs deep and the FIS Ski World Cup races have remained a central event throughout the years as the world’s best ski racers come from all corners of the globe to compete on the technical and steep faces of Aspen Mountain.
