Levi, Finland – Warm weather has forced International Ski Federation (FIS) officials to cancel a pair of World Cup races in Levi, Finland this month.
“Due to warm temperatures, lack of snow and unfavorable weather forecasts the ladies’ and men’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup slaloms in Levi (FIN) scheduled for November 14th and 15th 2015 have been canceled,” the FIS announced in a brief statement issued today. “A possible replacement will be communicated in due course.”
The next alpine races on the World Cup calendar will take place November 28-29, with men’s downhill and super G in Lake Louise, Canada, and women’s giant slalom and slalom in Aspen, Colo.
