Bretton Woods, NH – Bretton Woods will open for free skiing and riding with one trail and one lift tomorrow, the first New Hampshire resort to do so this season.
A couple of cold nights for snowmaking will enable Bretton Woods to fire up its Zephyr Express high-speed quad from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Lift tickets to ski the Range View trail will be free for all with the donation of a non-perishable food item.
Rentals, retails and limited food service will also be available. No lessons will be offered. An additional non-perishable food donation gains entry to Bretton Woods’ Slopeside Climbing Wall from noon to 4 p.m.
After tomorrow, Bretton Woods anticipates closing until Saturday, when resort officials are hopeful that they will be able to reopen for the season. Rain showers are expected to move into the region on Thursday.
