Kewaskum, WI – A 13-year-old was airlifted from Sunburst ski area in Kewaskum on following a skiing accident on Tuesday evening.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office indicates that their department was notified of the incident at approximately 6:21 p.m. last night. The victim was reportedly a 13-year-old girl from a local middle school ski club. No details regarding the accident or the girl’s specific injuries were provided.

Life Star ambulance was on scene rendering medical attention to the patient and requested assistance in setting up a landing zone for Flight for Life, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim was transported to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee with what are being reported as non-life threatening injuries.
