Ellicottville, NY – An unidentified woman was airlifted from Holiday Valley ski area in Ellicottville on Friday night after colliding with a tree.

Casey McAbee, 22, of Blasdell, N.Y. in Erie County lost control, left the trail and collided with the tree. She was located at around 9 p.m., authorities report.

A Mercy Flight helicopter transported the victim to Erie County Medical Center, where she remains in intensive care. A GoFundMe page, where $9,000 has already been raised towards the young mother and college student’s medical bills, indicates that she is starting to respond with some finger and toe movement. It also indicates that McAbee suffered bleeding on her brain, a severe laceration to her head, and fractures to two vertebrae and her pelvis.
