Breckenridge, CO – The Summit County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner are investigating the death of a skier at Breckenridge on Tuesday.

Police indicate that an unidentified 26-year-old Colorado man was pronounced dead at St. Anthony Breckenridge Community Clinic Emergency Center following a “ski incident on an intermediate trail” at around 11:15 Tuesday. They did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the “incident.”

“Breckenridge Ski Resort, Breckenridge Patrol and the Vail Resorts family extend their deepest sympathy and support to the family and friends of the man,” officials at the Colorado ski area said in a statement.

The Coroner, who declined to identify the victim, confirmed that the victim’s family had been notified of his death at around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
