Vail, CO – Inspired by the Norse goddess of winter, Vail Mountain will host its second annual Skadi Fest, a two-day ski experience focused around women. From December 14-16, female skiers of all abilities will be treated to customized on-mountain guided experiences with female instructors, evening VIP events, and female-specific ski equipment demos.
“Skadi Fest creates a welcoming environment for women to renew and enrich their passion for snowsports,” said Supervisor of Vail Ski School Inge Franberg. “This event began last year as a reflection of the expanded female-specific offerings we introduced company-wide. It is a testament to snowsports and its female participants that the event returns this season.”
From the ski film viewing of, “Between”, a Red Bull Media House production, to wine and cheese pairings and yoga, Skadi Fest is about the full experience both on- and off-mountain. It will include a large-scale, two-day ski demo and expo village, including skis from leading brands like Atomic, Blizzard, Dynastar, Elan, Head, K2, Line, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon, Scott and Völkl. Days start with morning yoga and are followed by guided skiing and snowboarding on the hill, before retiring to evening events.
A Skadi Vail general admission ticket costs $349 (minus Eventbrite processing fee), which includes a VIP gift bag, unlimited equipment demos, daily guided ski school experiences and evening events. A night/demo ticket eliminates the guided ski school experiences for $189. Participants needing lift tickets get a reduced daily rate of $85, and lodging packages are available.
