Flat Top, WV – Enjoy German-themed food and music, and buy or sell some used gear at Winterplace Ski Resort this Saturday.
This is Winterplace’s second annual Oktoberfest and ski swap, following an inaugural edition last year that attracted some 200 visitors. Take a scenic chairlift ride or play a game of cornhole. With the “Know Your Tree Hike” contest, guests can win free lift tickets for accurately identifying various trees around the mountain, all in their full fall glory.
Resort officials are accepting equipment for the Annual Ski Swap through Friday. Ten percent of any gear sold will be donated to the West Virginia Special Olympics.
Admission costs $7 for adults and $5 for children, and includes unlimited chairlift rides. Hours are from noon to 5 p.m. on October 22.
