Henniker, NH – New Hampshire’s family owned Pats Peak ski area has announced its 16th annual Diversity Day Goes POP to be celebrated on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – Monday, January 16, from 3 to 9 p.m.
“POP” refers to “Pay One Price”. For $49 skiers and riders can enjoy access to skiing, snowboarding and rentals from 3 to 9 p.m., plus lesson tips from 4 to 6 p.m. and snow tubing from 5 to 9 p.m. Group discounts are available for 15 or more people starting at 1 p.m. by calling (888) PATS PEAK, ext. 106 or emailing groupsales@patspeak.com in advance.
Diversity Day at Pats Peak celebrates the work, spirit and vision of Martin Luther King by hosting a special winter fun event. It’s an opportunity to come to the ski slopes of southern New Hampshire no matter a person’s ethnicity, social, or economic background.
“Diversity Day provides an atmosphere that encourages individuals to bring others skiing, snowboarding and tubing, who may believe that this is a sport out of their reach,” says Jim Wall, Director of Services. “Diversity Day at Pats Peak commemorates the importance of diversity, nondiscrimination and freedom.”
Focusing on the diversity of cultures around the world, world music will be showcased in the ski area’s base lodge, complete with a DJ and dancing.
