If you’re looking for a day off the slopes. the Sun Valley Nordic Center added two more groomed trails for fat biking, Diamondback and White Clouds, bringing the total amount of riding available to 16 kilometers. Norco fat bikes are available to rent for a day or half-day, and includes a helmet. In addition, two fat bike races are happening at the Nordic Center this year, offering athletes an alternative way to compete in the winter.

For those with a competitive spirit, the Snowball Special is on tap in February. Held the past two years on the last weekend in January to kick off the Sun Valley Nordic Festival, the event has now been moved to Saturday, February 25 to accommodate a larger number of racers and be a part of a regional fat bike racing series.
