Jeep Junior Freeski Tour Visits Resorts of the Canadian Rockies

Golden (BC), Canada – Cultivating the freeski trend, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort will hold the first International Freeskiing Association (IFSA) Junior Freeski Series stop, Feb. 2-5. The tour will then continue to Fernie Alpine Resort Feb. 10-12 before wrapping up at Kimberley Alpine Resort Feb. 25-26.

The best regional talents will be hunting for IFSA points at each tour stop. This event provides the opportunity for youth between the ages of 7 and 18 to develop and showcase their skiing skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The Jeep Junior Freeski Series, presented by Rossignol & Smith Optics, is the only one of its kind in Canada and part of Resort of the Canadian Rockies’ (RCR) ongoing commitment to providing active and healthy pursuits for youth. To align with the IFSA qualification standards, the event is open to skier’s ages 7 to 18 in six categories: ages 7-11, 12-14 and 15-18, in male and female divisions.
