Mammoth Lakes, CA – With the winter they’ve been having in the Sierra everyone knew this was coming, but now it’s official: Mammoth Mountain will once again this year keep skiing and riding until July 4th.
They’ve already tallied over 35 feet of snow this season at the Main Lodge, with more than 20 feet falling in January alone. Base depths at the summit currently measure a remarkable 340 inches. That’s enough for resort officials to know already that they’ll have enough cover to make it to the Independence Day summer holiday.
Terrain expected to remain open through spring and early summer will depend upon the weather for the remainder of this ski season.
