Red Lodge Adds Two Weeks to Ski Season

Red Lodge, Montana – Montana’s Red Lodge Mountain had scheduled its closing day for April 2. But with better than expected snowfall this season, ski resort officials have opted to keep the party going until Easter Sunday, which falls this year on April 16th.

At press time, Red Lodge currently has only one of its 69 trails closed, but resort staffers caution that operations will depend on snow and weather conditions.

“Please be aware that this extension is dependent upon weather and conditions,” they say. “We may be required to operate with limited terrain during the late season, but if the snow keeps coming and conditions hold up, we’ll be turning the lifts until mid-April. “
