Logan Siblings Crowned in The North Face 1st Annual Park and Pipe Open Series Slopestyle

Truckee, CA – A brother and sister team shared top honors at Saturday’s The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series Slopestyle Finals at California’s Northstar Resort – both winning on the same pair of skis. Following a broken ski in practice, Chris Logan borrowed his sister Devin’s skis for the final round. Following their top-notch runs on Pinball, they’ll both be heading to X Games, with Chris qualifying for the final spot based on his points in this event.n“We’ve been competing together since we were young, and have always dreamed of winning a competition together,” said Devin Logan. “Seeing Chris win was awesome for me, and hearing our family’s reaction on the phone put it over the top.”

With a two-run, best run score format, Chris Logan crashed in the quarter pipe during his first run, but dominated with a 95.40 on his second final run, and a mash-up of tricks including a blind-side switch-up on the rail, 450 on to 450 off the flat rail, switch right 10 to a switch left 1260 to a 7 on the quarter pipe.

Devin Logan, a 17-year old from West Dover, Vt., landed both of her final runs, with scores of 80.5 and 88. Her goals coming into The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series were to stomp a clean run and step up her rail game. Her run included a switch on front on flat down, a front 270 out of up box, a switch 5 to cork 7 to a 540 on the quarter pipe.

Maude Raymond registered for The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series specifically to earn a spot in the X Games, and following a knee injury in March, her goal was just to land a run but she left Saturday with an X Games invite.

“The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series gave me this awesome opportunity to win a spot into X Games,” said Raymond. “It was a quality event, and I’ve always respected The North Face.”

“It was really cool to have the combination of first time competitors alongside X Game athletes, and impressive to see the majority of the top 10 coming from the east coast. The competition at Waterville Valley’s gonna go off!” said The North Face athlete Nick Martini, who placed eighth for men.
