Killington, VT – After falling in run one, Breckenridge, Colo.’s Bobby Brown threw out all the stops for a last minute slopestyle skiing win that put him in the overall lead Sunday during the Winter Dew Tour at Killington in Vermont.nA U.S. favorite headed into slopestyle skiing’s first World Championship competition, Brown put down a frontside switch up, switch 270 on to backside switch up to 270 out, switch on to 630 out, switch double rodeo 9 Japan, left double cork 12 and a switch right double cork 9 for the win.
“The course was money and the weather is amazing here in Killington,” Brown said. “It was big jumps, sick rail features, and an all around dope course.”
Brown was followed by Switzerland’s Elias Ambuhl in second and Nick Goepper, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., in third.
The U.S. World Championship team for slopestyle skiing will be named in just over a week on Jan. 31, three days before the competition goes down at Park City Mountain Resort in Utah on Feb. 3.
