Skier Falls, Dies at Mt. Seymour

North Vancouver (BC), Canada – A 36-year-old man fell and slid 300 meters to his death while backcountry skiing in Mt. Seymour Provincial Park near Vancouver over the weekend.nThe unidentified victim, said by police to be a resident of the Vancouver area, was descending First Pump Peak when he fell to his death. A companion skied out to contact rescue officials, who were unable to reach the accident site by helicopter due to weather conditions and had to extricate the victim’s body via ground rescue.
