Snowboarder Dies After Hitting Tree at Eldora

Nederland, CO – A 35-year-old Boulder, Colo. man struck a tree and was killed Sunday afternoon while snowboarding in a closed area at Eldora Mountain Resort in Nederland.nScott Richard Goodale was snowboarding with four friends when the incident occurred, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Eldora Mountain Ski Patrol responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. local time Sunday afternoon and began CPR efforts that continued to the ski resort’s patrol room, where he was pronounced dead.

The Boulder Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
