Skier Hit Trees, Dies at Lake Louise

Lake Louise (AB), Canada – A ski vacation turned tragic Sunday at Lake Louise ski area in Alberta for a Toronto area man, who crashed into trees on his first run of the day and died.nThe unidentified man, age 21, was skiing with friends on a groomed black diamond run at around 9:30 a.m. when he veered off trail and into trees. He went into cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma. He was wearing a helmet at the time.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine whether or not an underlying medical condition played a part in the accident.
