Wakefield (QC), Canada – Quebec’s Ski Edelweiss near Ottawa opened its new $2.5 million quad chairlift last week to the delight of ski area visitors.nAt just over 3,800 feet long, the new STREIF chairlift rises 656 vertical feet at 7.5 feet per second, carrying 2,060 skiers per hour up the mountain in 7.5 minutes.

“We are extremely proud to offer Outaouais skiers and snowboarders a new ski lift at Ski Edelweiss,” says ski area COO Louis-Phillipee Hebert. “This investment for the resort will shine on the region’s tourism and will allow skiers to flow freely at the base of the slopes and bring them up the mountain a lot more quickly.”
