Free Skiing at West Virginia’s Snowshoe Mountain for Season’s Last Hurrah

Snowshoe, WV – The ski and snowboard season in West Virginia isn’t over yet. Snowshoe Mountain Resort officials have announced that lodging guests will ski free for the last week of the season, March 21-27, while daytrippers will ski or ride for $26 per day, including during the traditional end-of-season Pond Skimming Event on March 26.nA total of 39 of the Basin area’s 40 slopes expected to be open through the end of the season, including the Western Territory, offering 1,500 vertical feet and nearly 1.5 miles of terrain.

On Saturday, March 26, Snowshoe will host its annual Last Hurrah Pond Skimming Event. Daring skiers and riders will attempt to skim their way across a man-made lake on the resort’s beginner slope located just outside the Village. Snowshoe’s DJ Judd will be providing musical entertainment and revelers will compete in a “most rad” costume contest and will enjoy a Happy Hour “Survivors Party” at Moonshine Pub.
