Canada’s Turski Wins Euro X Slopestyle

Tignes, France – Canadian Kaya Turski continued her dominance last Wednesday over the women’s slopestyle skiing world, adding a Euro X gold to her World Champs and Winter X gold in 2011. American Keri Herman’s run was good enough for second, matching her result at the Winter X Games 15 in Aspen, Colo. Canadian Kim Lamarre finished third.nTurski, of Montreal, Quebec, who has been a dominant force on the slopestyle circuit this winter including winning the X Games gold in Aspen, Colo., successfully defended her Euro X title earned last season. After coming up short on her first run, her second run ended with a switch 720 mute grab off the last jump to earn a score of 89.66.

Herman’s technical and stylish runs have also vaulted her onto the podium in 2011, where she has sat comfortably all season. In addition to the two silvers in X Games slopestyle skiing contests, Herman won bronze at the inaugural World Championship slopestyle event and second in the Dew Tour women’s slopestyle competition at Breckenridge, Colo.
