Kirkwood, Alpine Meadows Offering Joint Season Pass

Kirkwood, CA – In addition to Vail Resorts’ Epic Pass that joins Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe, those wishing to ski both sides of Lake Tahoe now have a second option.

Kirkwood Mountain Resort and Alpine Meadows Ski Resort have announced a new 2011-12 season pass offering in which skiers and riders have access to both resorts throughout the season.  Additionally with the new product, pass holders will have access to Homewood Mountain Resort on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore, Durango Mountain Resort in Durango, Colo., and Red Lodge Mountain Resort in Red Lodge, Mont.

The pass is available to Kirkwood “Premium” pass holders as an upgrade for an additional $200  at early season rates.  For the Alpine Meadows “Unfiltered” pass at purchased at $699, the Kirkwood access is an added benefit.  The new product provides access to more than 9,000 acres of terrain.

“This is an incredible new offering enabling skier and riders access to some incredible terrain around the lake with one pass product,” said Chip Seamans, COO of Kirkwood Mountain Resort.  “We are excited about the partnership and are already getting significant positive feedback with this offering.  Two niche resorts, with great snow and great terrain is really getting people excited.”
