Edwards, CO – Colorado Mountain Express (CME) is now offering daily shared-ride shuttle service between downtown Denver and Summit County, in addition to its previous route linking Denver and Vail.
Now Denver visitors and residents without access to a car can easily enjoy a daytrip or overnight getaway to the mountains. As well, Summit and Eagle County residents can take advantage of the service for daytrips to the city. Colorado Mountain Express plans to continue the daily downtown Denver shared shuttle service through the winter 2011-12 ski and snowboard season, providing convenient access to the resorts.
Scheduled downtown Denver pick up locations include the Marriott City Center, Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center and Sheraton Denver Downtown. Tickets from downtown to three Summit County locations cost $29 each way per person. Tickets from downtown to the Vail Transportation Center are priced at $39 each way per person. Bikes and golf clubs can be transported on the shuttle at no additional cost in summer, and in the winter months skis/snowboards and up to two bags can be transported per person. To guarantee a seat, 24 hour advance reservations are recommended by calling CME at (970) 754-7433.
“CME is pleased to offer this new downtown Denver shuttle service to visitors and locals alike. Having the convenience of catching a shuttle direct to the mountains for the day makes it possible to easily attend one of the many summer mountain festivals, or spend the night without the worry or expense of driving,” said Robert Tschupp, Colorado Mountain Express General Manager. “As well, this new service gives locals living in Summit or Eagle County a convenient way to get to Denver for shopping or attend events.”
