Yes, and no. You have to be online via 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi to retrieve new stories but this process only takes a second or two. After that you can read stories in our app’s “Our news offline” section to your heart’s content without being online, perfect for reading while on an airplane to your favorite skiing destination or while you’re outside data service areas. Other services within the app require an active data connection.
