McLeod Named New Whistler Blackcomb Industry, Film and Communications Supervisor

Whistler (BC), Canada – Chris McLeod has been named Whistler Blackcomb’s new Industry, Film and Communications Supervisor. He assumed his role at the popular British Columbia ski and snowboard resort on July 12.

“We’re very excited to have Chris on the team,” says Tabetha Boot, Whistler Blackcomb’s Public Relations and Communications Manager. “We are confident in his ability to make a seamless transition from where Ryan Proctor left off, providing a great, mutually beneficial connection between the ski, snowboard and bike Industry and Whistler Blackcomb.”

McLeod has been employed with Whistler Blackcomb since 2003, spending the past three years working on the sales team in the role of Youth Business Developer. He holds a Bachelor of Communications Degree specializing in Public Relations, and has extensive knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb.

McLeod will be Whistler Blackcomb’s public relations point person for all ski, snowboard, and mountain bike industry relations, along with supervising Whistler Blackcomb’s operations and snow communications, and overseeing all commercial filming inquiries.

“I am very excited to take on this new role with Whistler Blackcomb,” says McLeod. “I am extremely passionate about Whistler, the mountains, as well as the ski, snowboard, and mountain bike industries, and I look forward to bringing this passion and enthusiasm to this role.”
