Salt Lake City, UT – The Ski Utah Yeti is inviting all snow enthusiasts to race to winter in the first ever Yeti Pass Skootch’n Dash Saturday, September 3 at the Downtown Farmers Market in Salt Lake City. Participants may choose to enter a short ski boot course run (approximately 1K) or the 50-meter snowboard skootch.
The registration fee to participate is $5 per person per race and 50 percent of profits earned will be donated to the Utah Avalanche Center. Space is limited and athletes are encouraged to pre-register at Active.com.
All racers will receive swag including a Squatters Big Cottonwood T-shirt, event water bottle and more. A limited number of ski boots provided by Ski’n See will also be available for those unable to provide their own equipment. Cash will only be accepted for same-day registrants.
The fastest racers in each division will win prizes including Rossignol skis or snowboard, Smith Optics and other Ski Utah swag. A special award for the best costume, as judged by a panel, will be awarded a Ski Utah Yeti Pass good for one day at every Utah resort during the 2011-12 ski and snowboard season.
The Yeti Pass Skootch’n Dash will take place at the southwest corner of the Downtown Farmers Market in Salt Lake City’s Pioneer Park, at 300 W Broadway (300 S).
