Party in Beaver Creek with Bode Miller

Avon, CO – Many would argue that Bode Miller is the best American alpine ski racer of all time. He is an Olympic and World Championship gold medalist, and a two-time World Cup champion. Miller is only the fifth man to win World Cup races in all five disciplines, and in 2008 along with fellow American skier Lindsey Vonn, helped the United States sweep the men’s and women’s overall World Cup titles for the first time in 25 years.

Now a charity auction is offering the opportunity to have dinner with Miller in Beaver Creek and attend the Birds of Prey Men’s Alpine World Cup ski races in Colorado, VIP style. One winning bidder and three guests will chow down at Bode’s favorite Beaver Creek hotspot with the American alpine legend himself, and be able to snap plenty of pictures to prove it. The four fans will then receive four VIP passes to the Men’s Alpine World Cup, taking place from December 2-4, 2011 in Beaver Creek to cheer Bode and the U.S. Ski Team to victory.

With Bode’s track record, the lucky foursome may just get to see another victory laced with gold.

The auction prize has been donated by Bode Miller, his Turtle Ridge Foundation and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation. Bidding is open now through Wednesday, August 31 at www.charitybuzz.com/categories/14/catalog_items/270215. Proceeds from the auction benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, advancing cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.

As of press time, the current bid is $1,750.
