Big Sky, MT –Montana’s Moonlight Basin ski resort in Big Sky has acquired 100 percent ownership of Sagebrush Property Management. Sagebrush Property Management, formerly maintained through a 50 percent partnership between East West Resorts and Moonlight Basin, is the property management operator for the majority of the properties at the resort.
This acquisition allows Moonlight Basin to assume control over all the lodging, property management and operations at the resort previously managed by East West. The transition will be gradual, taking place over the next several months, and there will be no interruption of services and experience to owners and guests, resort officials say. The business will now operate under the name “Moonlight Lodging in Big Sky.”
“Moonlight Basin’s acquisition of Sagebrush Property Management will allow us to solely manage the guest and owner experience as well as commit additional resources directly towards promoting the resort and its unparalleled lodging options,” reports Greg Pack, Moonlight Basin General Manager. “We’re looking forward to increasing rental nights at the resort through a number of new packages and driving further destination business, effectively benefitting both visitors and owners.”
The acquisition of Sagebrush Property Management was made possible through a number of proactive steps on behalf of Moonlight Basin and Lehman, which currently controls Moonlight Basin through a bankruptcy agreement. East West is refocusing their company’s efforts to only provide rental management services to those destinations that were developed, built and sold by East West Partners such as Northstar-at-Tahoe in Truckee, Calif., and Beaver Creek, Colo.
