Boulder, CO – Decorated alpine ski racer Julia Mancuso will make a special appearance to sign autographs at a fundraiser for the Lake Eldora Ski Team (LERT) next month in Boulder.
The event will take place on Monday, November 14 at the historic Boulder Theater, located at 2032 14th Street in Boulder, Colo. Guests can meet Mancuso, a U.S. Ski Team Member, Olympian and freeskiing champion for a special autograph session for the event’s first hour, beginning at 6 p.m.
Capturing more Olympic medals than any other American woman, Mancuso excels in the most difficult competition conditions. Her commanding efforts result in podium performances from the World Championships, to the World Cup. Mancuso leads by example by giving back to the community and further setting the example of excellence in sport.
In addition to the guest appearance by Mancuso, LERT will present a film fundraiser to support aspiring athletes with a screening of “The Story” as well as a Best Bet Raffle and a chance to win prizes. All funds raised will support Lake Eldora Race Team ski and snowboard programs.
Formed in Boulder, Colorado in 1975 to support local interest in ski racing, the Lake Eldora Race Team today provides youth programs for athletes with diverse abilities in skiing, snowboarding and cycling; creates an athlete-centered environment that fosters competition, personal responsibility, sportsmanship, hard work and confidence; and inspires young athletes to attain their goals with exuberance.
