Winter Park Opening Ski Season Ahead of Schedule

Winter Park, CO – With cold temperatures for snowmaking and natural snow falling from the Colorado skies, officials have announced that Winter Park Resort will open for its 72nd ski and snowboard season this Saturday, four days earlier than planned.

Three lifts will begin turning at 8:30 a.m. A list of opening terrain and opening day lift ticket prices have yet to be announced.

The Red Bull Sugga will also be on snow playing videos and music to kick off the early opening celebration. Both Doc’s and Derailer will be serving opening day après-ski specials at just about the same time that a snowy storm system is expected to move into the region from the northwest on Saturday evening.
