U.S. Ski Team Moguls Squad to Train at Wolf Creek

Pagosa Springs, CO – With 100 inches of snowfall so far this October and November, Wolf Creek Ski Area is 100 percent open and ready to host the 20-member U.S. Mogul Team and their coaches next week. Training will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  daily Monday through Friday, except for a day off on Wednesday.

Coaches and staff are busy this weekend prepping the course on Wolf Creek’s Alberta Face by setting turn flags and building jumps.  The course will be located under the Treasure Chairlift, which will make the entire training event visible for all skiers and boarders visiting Wolf Creek. At 2 p.m. next Saturday, the Team has scheduled a meet and greet on the outside deck of Wolf Creek Lodge in the base area.  Any guest of the Wolf Creek Ski Area will be able to meet ski team members and have autographs signed.

Olympic and World Champion Hannah Kearney, of Norwich, Vt., and Olympic bronze medalist Bryon Wilson, of Butte, Mont., will be attending along with other A team members including  Bozeman, Mont.’s Heather McPhie, Eliza Outtrim of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Cle Elum, Wash.’s Patrick Deneen, and Jeremey Cota and David Digravio, both of Maine. B team members Heidi Kloser and Joe Discoe will also be in attendance, as well as C team members K.C. Oakley, Ali Kariotis, Brittany Loweree, Mikaela Matthews, Brad Wilson, Bryan Zemba, Landon Gardner, Shane Cordeau, Sho Kashima, Nate Roberts, and Ryan Dyer.

Wolf Creek is reporting 50 inches of base at the summit and 40 inches at mid-mountain.
