Big Air Contest And Mascot Day This Weekend At Pats Peak

Henniker, NH –New Hampshire’s Pats Peak has announced a weekend line up of special events.

This Saturday is the S&DUB Board Shop/CandyGrind Big Air Contest, sponsored by Pats Peak, S&W Sports and CandyGrind. The Big Air Contest will take place in Turbulence Park starting at 12:30 p.m. Registration for the Big Air will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the ski area’s Valley Lodge with a $20 entry fee plus at least a Valley Lift Ticket is required or Pats Peak season pass. All participants must sign a release of liability form, ages 17 years old and under need a parent to sign a parental consent form. There will be snowboarder and skier divisions with over $1,000 in prizes.

“Our park crew is excited to be hosting our annual Big Air Contest,” says Phil Grant, Park Supervisor. “This year we will have two big air jumps, which will double the excitement.”

Sunday at Pats Peak has been designated as Mascot Day. Mascots from all over the area will be at Pats Peak for a Mascot Fashion Show along with fun activities. Guests can bring a camera to have their photo taken with some fun mascots. Over 25 mascots from around the state of New Hampshire attend this family event. The activities start at 1 p.m. with a Tug of War, Fashion Show, Dance Off and Award Ceremony. Radio Disney will also be at Pats Peak with music, games, prizes and more.

“Mascot Day was created for a fun day for families to come out and celebrate outdoor winter family fun,” said Jim Wall, events director at Pats Peak.
