Danbury, NH – A 60-year-old man was critically injured in a skiing accident Sunday morning at Ragged Mountain in New Hampshire.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was skiing on an intermediate run at Ragged Mountain when the incident occurred at around 9:40 a.m. He was transported by helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., where he was admitted. Neither the nature of his injuries nor his condition were immediately available. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The chief of the Danbury Fire Department, which assisted in the evacuation, has confirmed that the skier’s injuries are life-threatening.
