America’s Most Expensive Ski Hotel is in Utah

Park City, UT – The St. Regis Deer Valley in Park City has earned the distinction of being the most expensive luxury ski hotel in the United States. This finding is the result of a survey conducted by Luxury-Hotels.com, which based its rankings on the average rates for a standard double room during the 2012 main ski season. Only luxury hotels located within ski resorts were included in the compilation.

To spend a single night at St. Regis, travelers will have to pay an average rate of $1,037. This daily price positions the Utah accommodation as the sixth most expensive luxury ski hotel in the world on the survey’s Top 10 list.

The top five slots all went to non-U.S. accommodations. Snagging the number one spot was the Suites de la Potiniere hotel in the ultra-luxury resort village of Courchevel 1850 the French Alps. There, a standard double room goes for almost double what St. Regis is charging, topping $1,900 per night.

One other U.S. hotel, however, also made it into the Top 10. The Little Nell in Aspen, Colo., came in at number eight. Visitors can expect to spend $1,002 per night to stay at this celebrity hot spot during the prime ski season.
