Massachusetts Teen Dies in Ski Accident at Copper Mountain in Colorado

Copper Mountain, CO – A 15-year-old Massachusetts teen died on Sunday after colliding with a tree at Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado.

According to witnesses Hannah Randolph, of Wellesley, Mass., was skiing on the expert CDL run at approximately 1:43 p.m. on Sunday when she veered off the trail and collided with a tree. Members of Copper Mountain’s ski patrol performed Advanced Life Support (ALS) measures before Randolph was pronounced dead at the resort’s medical clinic.

According to the Summit County Coroner’s Office, Randolph was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Randolph’s death is the 13th on Colorado’s slopes thus far this winter season.
