Bozeman, MT – High winds on Saturday derailed the Schlasman chairlift which accesses the high-altitude Ridge at Montana’s Bridger Bowl ski area near Bozeman. No injuries were reported.

Sensors shut down the lift after a strong gust of wind caused the mishap shortly after noon on Saturday. Ski patrol used ropes and harnesses to evacuate the lift’s 60 passengers.

The lift was repaired and back on line after a 90-minute delay.
