Breck Spring Fever Festival Continues this Weekend

Breckenridge, CO – Breck’s Spring Fever BudLight Concert series continues this weekend with headliners Leftover Salmon and Donavon Frankenreiter taking the Spring Fever stage Saturday and Sunday. This is the second weekend of concerts during Breckenridge Ski Resort’s month-long Spring Fever Festival.  This weekend also includes a town-wide pub-crawl and the family-friendly Ripperoo’s Mascot Olympics.

3/29 THURSDAY:
KSMT SPRING FEVER COMEDY SERIES 8:30 p.m., $5 cover.
Host Chuck Roy will open a night of comedy at the Beaver Run Base 9 Bar with headliner Vic Alejandro. Alejandro is a regular at the Comedy Works in Denver and works with a variety of esteemed national headliners, recently appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show, and is published in the book “The Complete Idiots Guide to Jokes.  His comedy can best be described as sometimes physical, sometimes intelligent, and sometimes even funny.

3/30 FRIDAY:
BRECK 5 ‘TIL 5 TERRAIN PARK HAPPY HOUR 2-5 p.m.
Presented by Freeskier and Snowboard Magazine, the popular 5 ‘til 5 terrain park event is continues this Friday. 5 ‘til 5 lets park riders cruise Breck’s Park Lane Terrain Park until 5 p.m., with both the 5 Chair and the Colorado SuperChair operating one extra hour on Fridays during Spring Fever. 5 ‘til 5 will also have free food, beverages, music, giveaways and jam style contests.  Contest prizes include gear from various ski and snowboard companies, Mountain Dew, Rockstar, season passes and more.

GOLD RUNNER COASTER
The Gold Runner Coaster will stay open for additional operations until 4:30pm on Fridays only throughout Spring Fever.

TBAR HAPPY HOUR 2-6 p.m.
The TBar après bar at the base of Peak 8 will be offering $4 Bud, Bud Light and Breck 50th Anniversary Ale specials from 2 p.m. – close every Friday during Spring Fever.  This Friday, DJ Cyn will be spinning tunes live.

KSMT. SPRING FEVER PUTT & PUB CRAWL 3:00 p.m. start at the TBar
The Inaugural Spring Fever Putt & Pub Crawl will take place at nine locations around town, as they “link” up for an afternoon of winter golf.  Teams of four will compete for prizes for lowest overall score, best team name, best costumes, best team putt per hole and more during this event. Teams will meet at the TBar at the base of Peak 8 to get their wristbands and event info, then head into town for the holes at various locations. $40 gets a team of four entry into the Putt & Pub Crawl, entry into the after-party, opportunity to win prizes and more. 3/24 SATURDAY:
BRECK KIDS’ BEGINNER SNOWBOARD CAMP (Sat & Sun), 9a.m.-3p.m.
Kids can learn how to snowboard at a fraction of the cost of regular group lessons. This two-day camp will lay down the basics of snowboarding in a safe and fun environment. Sign up for the Kids’ Beginner Snowboard Camp by calling (800) 536-1890.

BRECK ROCKY MOUNTAIN PARK & PIPE CAMP (Sat & Sun), 9a.m.-3p.m.
This Park & Pipe Camp will give you the chance to experience and improve your skills in one of the most highly rated and well known parks and pipes in the country. Register by emailing brskischoolprograms@vailresorts.com with “Rocky Mountain Camp” as the subject of the email.

BUDLIGHT CONCERT SERIES:  LEFTOVER SALMON 2-5 p.m.
Get to the base area at Peak 8 this Saturday, March 24th for the first Spring Fever concert performance, by Leftover Salmon live on the specially-constructed BudLight stage. The band will serve up their unique blend of bluegrass, rock and country.

3/25 SUNDAY:
RIPPEROO’S WINTER MASCOT OLYMPICS, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Peak 8 Base
Come to the base of Peak 8 on Sun. April 1, for this free kid-friendly event.  Breck’s official mascot, Ripperoo, has invited a bunch of his mascot friends from around Colorado to come to Breck and participate in a series of snow sports to determine who will win the Gold, Silver and Bronze in different fun events.

BUDLIGHT CONCERT SERIES: DONAVON FRANKENREITER, 2-5 p.m. You may find Donavon Frankenreiter catching the surf of big waves in Hawaii, but on April 1st he’s bringing his vocals to the snow at the BudLight stage at the base of Peak 8.  Learning a lot of what he knows from long-time friend Jack Johnson, Donavon is known for his iconic mustache and his quick witted humor and plans to fascinate the crowd with his polished acoustic arrangements and surf-style music.
