Loon Offers $49 Lift Tickets for Pass Holders from Other Ski Resorts

Lincoln, NH – New Hampshire’s Loon Mountain is offering specially priced $49 one-day lift tickets to anyone who presents their 2011-2012 season pass from any other resort or ski area for the remainder of this season.

Loon made snow again last week to freshen up the conditions and carry the season into April. This is the latest the resort has made snow, hoping to extend a season when many other northeastern resorts have been forced by warm weather and a lack of snow to close early.

“The amount of terrain we have to offer right now illustrates our team’s ability to make and manage snow and our commitment to providing superior snow for our guests,” said Molly Mahar, Loon’s vice president of marketing. “By extending a special lift ticket rate to season pass holders from other areas, we hope to help them to extend their season.”

In the past two years, Loon has added 600 highly efficient Low-E HKD tower snow guns to its arsenal to more than double the resort’s overall snow production and maximize snow output at a wider range of temperatures.  Loon claims the largest installation of these state-of-the-art snowmaking guns in North America.
