Jay, VT – Officials at Vermont’s Jay Peak Resort confirmed on Tuesday that the mountain will indeed reopen for skiing and riding this weekend, one of only two resorts in eastern North America to do so.

Officials earlier announced their intention to examine snow conditions and reach a decision by midweek. That decision was announced today to include the Jet Triple Chairlift servicing four slopes and trails on Stateside.

Lift tickets will cost $25 for all ages, or a combined lift ticket and water park pass will cost $49 for adults and $39 for juniors ages 4-14.  Ski and stay rates at the resort’s base area Tram Haus Lodge will cost $129 including one night’s lodging and lift tickets for two, or $159 with water park access added.

The only other Eastern ski resort to confirm operations this weekend is Mont Saint-Sauveur in the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where two runs will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
