Colorado’s Loveland Ski Area to Close Early This Sunday

Georgetown, CO – After a trying winter with precious little natural snowfall and above normal temperatures this week, Loveland Ski Area officials have announced that the resort will close a week early this Sunday.

Originally scheduled for May 6, the resort’s closing party will take place this Sunday featuring live music by Arnie J. Green, drink specials, and of course spring skiing and snowboarding.

“We would like to invite season pass holders from other ski areas to come and enjoy the last few days of our 2011-12 season at a discounted rate,” said Dustin Schaefer, Loveland’s Group Sales/New Media Coordinator. “If your mountain has closed for the season but you still want to get a few spring days in, just show your season pass at the ticket window and you can purchase an (adult) lift ticket for just $30.”
