Although the cause and origin investigation remains pending, the fire at the dry ski slope is believed to have been caused by acetylene cylinders stored inside the building. Crews from six fire departments extinguished the blaze after three hours, but not before it completely leveled the ski facility’s base lodge.

No injuries were reported from the fire.
