Snowbird, UT – Utah’s Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort is hosting a summer sports camp designed for youth ages 10-15, and includes mountain biking, swimming, hiking and climbing with professional coaches.
“Snowbird’s Mountain Sports Camp is a great way for kids to learn new skills on a natural playground,” said Maggie Loring, Snowbird Mountain School Director. “The coaches are excited to inspire the kids to connect with the mountains and teach them fundamental skills they will use throughout their lives.”
Participating youth will be coached in specific sports in morning and afternoon sessions, and have access during their lunch break to Snowbird’s many other summer activities including the Aerial Tram, Alpine Slide, Peruvian Chairlift and Tunnel, Mountain Flyer, Climbing Wall, Bungy Trampoline, Ropes Course and Mechanical Bull.
The camp will be rounded out with team-building, nutrition for athletes, and bike care education. The week will conclude with a multi-sport competition and barbeque for families.
Snowbird Mountain Sports Camp will be held Aug. 6-10, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Kids will be assigned locker space to leave gear at night, and bikes will be locked up in Creekside Lodge.
