As with the first Big Air of the World Cup season, originally scheduled for October 27 in London, organizers cited financial difficulties in announcing the cancellation.

“This is to inform you that the FIS Snowboard World Cup Big Air competition, scheduled in Stockholm on November 17th, 2012 has been canceled due to economical reasons,” reads a brief statement issued on Tuesday by the FIS. “The organizers in cooperation with the Swedish Federation have already indicated that it is their goal to organize the successful event as a FIS World Cup again from the 2013-14 season onwards.”

No further explanation regarding the cancellation was made available.
