World Cup Circuit to Make First Stop in Belgium on Biggest Ramp Ever

Antwerp, Belgium – The 2013 FIS Snowboard World Cup season’s second stop will mark a special highlight when for the first time in history, a FIS Snowboard World Cup will take place in Belgium on Nov. 10.

The city of Antwerp will host the VW Big Air competition at Rijnkaai 29 in the city’s Waagnatie harbor district. The finals will kick off at 7 p.m. local time.

Organizers, who consulted extensively with Belgium’s 2011 Big Air World Championships Silver medalist Seppe Smits, are building the biggest ramp in FIS Snowboard World Cup history – in any kind of dimension. According to the latest information, the ramp will be 38.50 meters high and will also provide the longest jump with about 16 meters in length. As a consequence, the riders traveling to Antwerp will benefit from the best air time ever.

The 2013 FIS Snowboard World Cup season’s second stop will mark a special highlight when for the first time in history a FIS Snowboard World Cup will take place in Belgium on November 10, 2012.

The city of Antwerp will host the VW Big Air competition in the harbor district called Waagnatie right at Rijnkaai 29 with the finals to kick off at 7 PM local time.

Organisers, who have been in constant talks with 2011 Big Air World Championships Silver medalist Seppe Smits (BEL) during the planing phase also have announced to build the biggest ramp in the FIS Snowboard World Cup history – in any kind of dimension.

According to the latest information, the ramp will be 38.50 meters high and will also provide the longest jump with about 16 meters in length. As a consequence, the riders coming to Antwerp will benefit from the best air time ever.
