Seldovia, AK – Kenai Heli Ski has announced that it will be providing an exclusive training opportunity for women skiers wishing to challenge themselves in Alaska’s big mountain terrain. She Shreds, an all-women’s helicopter ski camp, will take place at Kenai Heli Ski from April 13-20, 2013.
Crystal Wright, two-time Freeskiing World Tour Champion (2012 and 2009), and Lynn Kennen, Freeskiing World Tour competitor, PSIA Ski Instructor and Kenai Heli Ski Guide, will teach and coach women how to ski the big lines of Alaska. This is a great time for women to advance their powder and steep skiing skills while also learning to manage the natural hazards of big mountain backcountry skiing. She Shreds aims to provide a positive learning environment by two of the best female skiers and coaches in the U.S.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for women to work together on their skills in a low-stress all female setting,” said Njord Rota, owner of Kenai Heli Ski, based in Seldovia on Alaska’s scenic Kenai Peninsula south of Anchorage. “We are excited to have two of the top women’s big mountain skiers as coaches taking women into some of the world’s most remote and exclusive terrain.”
