Collingwood (ON), Canada – Athletes from across Canada have convened upon the Badlands Terrain Park in Ontario’s Blue Mountain Resort for the Canadian Shield ski and snowboard slopestyle series title. In conjunction with the competition, Finger Eleven will be performing in celebration of the Coors Light College and University week.

The contest is open to all ages and abilities,although competitors must have a valid lift ticket or season pass. To register, visit www.thecanadianshield.ca.

The snowboard contest takes place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday. Skiers hit the park with the same schedule for Saturday. Awards will be presented beginning at 4 p.m. each day.

Earlier this week Blue Mountain announced its Orchard expansion for winter 2013-14, which will feature a new high-speed chairlift and acres of new ski and snowboard terrain.
