Breckenridge Prepares Opening Week Festivities

Breckenridge, CO – Breckenridge Ski Resort today announced a week-long series of celebrations leading up to the start of the 2013-14 ski season. This year, Breck opens for their 52nd season for skiing and riding on Friday, Nov. 8, and starting Nov. 1, Breck will host a series of promotions designed to generate excitement, culminating with Opening Day.

With this year being the Inaugural Season of the Colorado resort’s new Peak 6 expansion, Breck is hosting a scavenger hunt across the Front Range. The resort will hide six large wooden carvings in the shape of the new Peak 6 logo in six different Colorado counties, and the first guests who locate them will win the chance to ride First Chair of the season.  The public has from Sat., Nov. 2 through Thurs. Nov. 7 to try and find them. Keep an eye on Breck’s official Instagram feed (@breckenridgemtn) for clues as to where the sculptures are hidden.
